椿餅/tsubakimoti　2月　

平安時代の「源氏物語」にも登場する日本最古の餅菓子。道明寺で白餡を包み、ほのかな様子の風味を添えています。

It is one of Japan’s oldest rice-cake confections, appearing even in The Tale of Genji from the Heian period.Made with dōmyōji rice and filled with white bean paste, it is lightly scented with a hint of yuzu.
