Vol.2 スイス・バーゼル ①HANDMADE
Hallo Basel, schön, euch kennenzulernen. Ich freue mich auf euch!
ライン川が流れ、中世の街並みが美しく残るスイス・バーゼルに佇むセレクトショップの「HANDMADE」さまで、弊店のお菓子を取り扱いいただくことになり、ご挨拶に伺ってまいりました。
バーゼルはフランスとドイツの国境近く、スイスの北西部に位置する美しい街です。歴史ある街並みの中に、建築とアートが見事に調和していて、そして澄んだ空気と、遠くに広がる山々の景色。ぼんやり歩くだけで豊かな気持ちになります。また訪れたくなるほどすっかり魅力されてしまいました。
1.古書店「Buchantiquariat Libelle mit H&B」
石畳の道が続き、歴史の息づく建物が立ち並ぶ旧市街にある「HANDMADE」さまのそばに、まるで時間が止まったかのような、ひっそり静かで素敵な本屋さんを見つけました。厚みのある木の扉を開けると、時間が経ったインクと紙の香り手触りが迎えてくれる静かな空間。古典文学や哲学書、アートブックがぎっしりと並んでいました。
2.郊外のバイエラー財団
建築と自然が融合した美術館でスイスの建築家レンゾ・ピアノが設計。
ガラス張りの空間からは自然光がやわらかく差し込み、特別な静けさと開放感をもたらします。建物の背後には牧草地やアルプスが広がり、まるで絵画の中にいるような美術館でした。
3.Vitra Design Museum
バーゼルの街からトラムとバスに乗り継ぎ1時間ほど。ドイツとスイスの国境近くに広がる緑豊かな地にVitra Design Museum はあります。フランク・ゲーリーが手がけた白い曲線美の建物が、のどかな田園の中でひときわ存在感を放っています。その空間には、椅子や家具など、日常のデザインが、まるでアートのように並んでいました。
すべてが自然や空気に溶け合っている風景で、一つひとつがバーゼルという特別な場所。
こんなにも美しい街で、菓心おおすがの商品を手に取っていただける機会をいただけたこと、心より嬉しく思います。

Basel, Switzerland ①HANDMADE
Our sweets are now available at HANDMADE, a lovely select shop in Basel, Switzerland. I visited to say hello and express our gratitude.
Basel is a beautiful city near the borders of France and Germany. With its old town charm, art, architecture, and clear air, just walking around feels refreshing. I was truly captivated by its beauty.
1. Antiquarian Bookstore ’Buchantiquariat Libelle mit H&B’
Near HANDMADE, I found a quiet, charming bookstore. The scent of old books and the shelves full of literature, philosophy, and art made it feel like a hidden gem.
2. ’Beyeler Foundation’
A museum designed by Renzo Piano, harmonizing nature and architecture. Surrounded by fields and the Alps, it felt like stepping into a painting.
3. ’Vitra Design Museum’
About an hour from Basel, this museum is located in the countryside, designed by Frank Gehry. The house, with its unique white curves, exhibits beautiful design works such as chairs and furniture.
Basel is a special place where nature and culture converge. I’m truly happy that our sweets are part of such a wonderful city.
